Today we’d like to introduce you to Terah Tidy.

Hi Terah, we’re thrilled to have a chance to learn your story today. So, before we get into specifics, maybe you can briefly walk us through how you got to where you are today?
Always entrepreneurial and creative, I launched a beauty career internationally, working for premier beauty companies educating talent about salon services and beauty. As a product developer, I learned how impactful essential oils can be, infusing a woman’s spirit with joy. Essential oils are exotic and alluring. I founded Madflowers, a luxury line of essential essences so that my customers can indulge in aromas and express their unique beauty.

Alright, so let’s dig a little deeper into the story – has it been an easy path overall and if not, what were the challenges you’ve had to overcome?
I am a survivor, literally and figuratively. Unfortunately, I was widowed early and pivoted from my international career to starting my businesses, Glamifornia Style Lounge & Madflowers here in Malibu, the community that supported myself and my children and my businesses. Further, like all Malibu businesses, I had to struggle through the aftermath of the Woolsey Fire which destroyed part of Malibu and, of course, like everyone, Covid was a challenge.

Alright, so let’s switch gears a bit and talk business. What should we know about your work?
Creativity infuses Glamifornia Style Lounge as it offers elite, premium beauty, wellness, art and fashion. My elite team of beauty professionals offers a vast array of services, including hair cuts, color, extensions, brow laminations and shaping, manis and pedis. Our beauty concierge team can bring our services to clients as well. The GSL has an upscale boutique featuring my premier line of essential oils, Madflowers, which provides clients with indulgent essences.

Where do you see things going in the next 5-10 years?
Concierge services that come to the client and provide a suite of quality services is one direction for my industry. Customers are savvy and want premium, curated beauty services that are provided by experienced professionals in an efficient manner. Customers also appreciate their beauty professionals keeping them in the know about the latest fashion and beauty trends.
